Re: Aug. Race on Mon Aug 11, 2008 7:46 am
That was a great race, about the best I have seen in a long time!!!!
I seen Tony's wing bend up about 8" as it went snap
To be honest, it kind of made me want to come out of retirement, been a long time since I made my first trim flight on a racer during the first lap of a race:pale: But I like my starting job
But who knows, everyonce in a while an old racer will come out for a limited schedule and fly one race
Now if I could only get JR to race

And BTW, yes CHarles, you and Jr. should both definately be racing! We need more pilots and you know how it is once it's in your blood. C'mon, you got 2 months to get racers ready! Don't let keiths pics discourage you, that was a 'special' circumstance... He thought he was in the new Olympic event, 'plane scatter'.

Got a lot of work on Charlie to get him going.
As for me, how knows
like I posted above may have to do 1 race a year
Kind of wish I had not sold my engines now

I'm thinking as fast as the K&B's are dying off and having issues a well broken in ST 40 might end up being the way to go, but I wish they were louder!

Yes, looks like I would have to go with a ST-40
But then after the 2 heat I get low and never make it past pylon 3
So the engine makes on difference to me
